REDUNDANCY FOR 2 PROTEGRAS
This fully automated redundancy circuit manages the operation of two Protegra CS RO systems in parallel connectivity with a downstream tank and two pressure booster pumps for the distribution of product water.
By measuring the tank level, the two water treatment systems are operated alternately. When reaching a minimum or maximum pressure level - or in the event of a system malfunctioning - the second system is switched on or off. Pressure sensors are controlling the two pressure booster pumps.
The preset pressure levels of 1 bar minimum and 6 bar maximum can be adjusted.
Should the tank level reach a minimum, the booster pumps are switched off (dry-running protection).
The redundancy circuit features the following for two water treatment and two pressure booster systems:
- Alternating operation / changeover
- Malfunction changeover in case of failure of one system
- Peak load activation in case of high quantity withdrawals
- A total of 5 potential-free alarm outputs (1 collective
fault signal, 2 critical fault signals for system A/B,
2 non-critical fault messages for system A/B) for the
connection to a building management system (BMS).
- 2 start/stop signals for the water treatment systems
- 2 motor protection switches connected to the
Pressure boosting pumps.
Connections:
- 2 outputs for start / stop water treatment systems
- 2 outputs booster pumps (2x 2,2 KW maximum load)
- 1 connection level sensor 4-20 mA for tank level
- 1 connection pressure sensor 4-20 mA for pipeline pressure
