The frost resistance of the mixture does not change - assuming a constant Antifrogen\u003csup\u003e®\u003c\/sup\u003e L concentration - even after many years of operation. Homogeneous mixtures of Antifrogen\u003csup\u003e®\u003c\/sup\u003e L and water also do not separate. Frost resistance is reduced if more water is added. Antifrogen\u003csup\u003e®\u003c\/sup\u003e L must always be diluted with water. The water used to dilute Antifrogen\u003csup\u003e®\u003c\/sup\u003e L should not contain more than 100 mg\/kg (ppm) chloride. The water hardness can vary in a wide range between 0 and 25° dH. This means that drinking water can also be used in addition to demineralised (deionised, distilled) water. As expected, the good anti-corrosive properties of Antifrogen\u003csup\u003e®\u003c\/sup\u003e L water mixtures decrease with increasing water content. The Antifrogen\u003csup\u003e®\u003c\/sup\u003e L content in a cooling brine or heating fluid must therefore not be less than 25 % by volume. This corresponds to a solution that is frost-proof down to -10 °C.
