Tension brushes provide distributed contact that helps keep plates in position while the shaker performs mixing or agitation steps typical of assay work, sample homogenisation and multi-well incubation protocols. The unit is supplied as one piece and has a weight of 0,830 kg, making it a compact top element for the TiMix 5 platform. Produced by Edmund Bühler, this top fits within the microtiter shaker accessory family used in research, quality-control and analytical laboratories. By combining a dedicated top structure with tension-brush retention, the accessory supports reliable plate seating without relying solely on friction mats or clamps. It is suited to workflows that require frequent plate exchange yet still demand stable fixation during continuous or intermittent shaking. Laboratories operating TiMix 5 instruments can deploy this top when processing standard microtiter formats and when consistent plate retention is essential for reproducible mixing results across multi-well layouts.

This article is part of Stirring & mixing accessories, in Stirring, shaking & mixing.

Key features

Pack size: 1 pc

Product type: Top with tension brushes

Compatible with: MT-plate shaker TiMix 5

Weight: 0,830 kg

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0955/4827/7068/files/T495-1-01-1000Wx1000H_e4e8db16-7f45-4fa4-ba9f-628e0b762920.jpg?v=1766494542
