It provides a 90° connection, uses an M6 thread, and is tightened via an internal hexagon socket screw for firm, repeatable locking on the retort stand. The largest clamping span is 13 mm, matching the stated diameter, so it suits standard laboratory rods of that size in lattice and cross-clamp arrangements. Chrome plating over the malleable cast iron body gives a durable, cleanable surface suited to everyday bench use. This fitting from manufacturer Bochem weighs 82,0 g (net weight 0,08 kg) and is supplied as a single piece. It is classified among double and cross boss heads used to build stable support frameworks for glassware, sensors, and other apparatus. Laboratories assembling or expanding stand systems can integrate the chrome-plated boss head wherever a compact 13 mm, 90° clamp joint with hexagon socket fastening is required.

This article is part of Clamps & bossheads, in Stands, clamps & racks.

Key features

Pack size: 1 pc(s)

Diameter: 13 mm

Max. clamping span: 13 mm

Material: Malleable cast iron

Coating: Chrome-plated

Design: 90° angle, M6 thread, hexagon socket screw

https://www.luminixhealth.com/en-nl/products/bosshead-for-frames-malleable-cast-iron-chrome-plated-d13mm-socket-s
