Description

Safety Cap III, GL38 is a laboratory closure designed for safe HPLC solvent supply from bottles and containers. It is equipped with three PFA fittings for outer diameters of 1,6 mm, 2,3 mm and 3,2 mm, two PFA blind plugs and an integrated ventilation valve with change indicator for reliable pressure equalisation. Manufactured from polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), the cap blocks harmful solvent vapours and helps protect the HPLC system from contamination while reducing operator exposure to aggressive organic solvents. The screw closure rotates through 360° and is autoclavable up to 200 °C, giving flexible positioning of coloured capillaries and straightforward handling in daily use. A stable construction, clear arrangement of connections and chemically resistant materials support safe, continuous solvent withdrawal. This Safety Cap III from manufacturer SCAT forms part of a long-established range developed for maximum laboratory and personnel safety in solvent handling. Supplied as a single piece, it is ready for immediate integration into HPLC solvent lines.

Questions about Safety Cap III, GL38

What is this article?

Safety Cap III, GL38 is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes SCAT for laboratory use. It sits in Solvent waste caps, safety funnels & canisters, inside Waste disposal, in Lab safety equipment.

A solvent waste cap and a safety funnel close a waste can so vapour does not fill the room, while still letting waste be poured in. The thread has to match the can. A filter and a level indicator are common features. An open beaker of waste solvent is not this article.

Laboratory waste is sorted before it is carried away. A solvent waste can has a cap and often a funnel that limits vapour. A sharps container is rigid and closable. An autoclave bag is for material that will be sterilised before it is ordinary waste. The container has to survive the chemical that goes into it. A bag that dissolves is not a container. Classification of the chemicals is on ECHA. Transport of dangerous goods is the UNECE framework. Workplace practice is EU-OSHA.
