Cryogenic & heat-resistant gloves

Cryogenic gloves insulate the hand against very cold surfaces for a short contact. Heat-resistant gloves do the same against heat. Neither is a chemical glove, and neither replaces tongs for immersion. The temperature and the contact time they were tested for are the specification.

A glove is a barrier on the hand, and the barrier is only as good as the hazard it was tested against. Nitrile, latex and vinyl disposable gloves are for splash and for incidental contact. A chemical-resistant glove is a different article, tested for permeation by named chemicals. A cut-resistant glove is for blades and edges. Cold and heat need yet another material.
