Tampon de stripping pour l'élimination des anticorps à haute affinité ainsi que du marquage par chimioluminescence des membranes de Western blot. Grâce au faible pH du tampon, la conformation des anticorps est altérée, ce qui permet d'éliminer en douceur toutes les molécules liées aux épitopes (Legocki et al. (1981) Analyt. Biochem. 111:385-92). Des additifs spécialement conçus améliorent l'efficacité de l'élimination des anticorps nécessitant des temps de stripping longs ou des températures d'incubation élevées avec les systèmes de tampon de stripping standard. Formule avancée sans β-mercaptoéthanol ni DTT, pour une utilisation à température ambiante ou à chaud. Convient aux membranes de nitrocellulose et de PVDF.

Après les étapes de rinçage dans un tampon PBST ou TBST, la membrane est incubée dans le ROTI®Free Stripping-Puffer 2.2 plus pendant 30 à 60 minutes à température ambiante. En cas d'anticorps très persistants, une incubation dans un tampon chauffé est possible. Après un nouveau lavage, la membrane peut être bloquée et sondée à nouveau. Le temps nécessaire pour un stripping complet dépend du couple anticorps/épitope considéré.
