Reactievat, cilindrisch, met schaalverdeling en groef in de vlakflens. Het reactievat is voorzien van een temperatuurmantel. De temperatuurmantel heeft twee aansluitingen (naar keuze GL-schroefdraadverbinding [GL 14 of GL 18] of kogelgewrichtverbinding [kogel-kom; KF 15 of KF 25]). In de bodem van het reactievat is een aftapkraan ingebouwd. Reactievaten tot 6 liter met een kraandoorlaat-Ø van 10 mm; vanaf 10 liter met een kraandoorlaat-Ø van 20 mm. Het vlakflens-reactievat wordt afgesloten met een deksel dat apart verkrijgbaar is. Beide delen worden bij elkaar gehouden door een klemring. Een afdichtring, of het gebruik van slijpvet, voorkomt dat de slijpstukken vastlopen. Geschikte siliconen- en FEP-afdichtringen zijn apart verkrijgbaar. Het vlakflensvat kan door middel van diverse standaard slijpstukken in het deksel worden gecombineerd met andere componenten (bijv. koelers, roerasdoorvoeren en scheitrechters). Toepassingsgebieden: preparatief werk, zoals reacties, destillaties en verdampingen.
