Deze ROTITEST\u003csup\u003e®\u003c\/sup\u003eColiform is zeer eenvoudig toe te passen: met het geïntegreerde wattenstaafje wordt het betreffende oppervlak afgenomen en het wattenstaafje wordt stevig in het steriele voedingsmedium gedrukt. Na incubatie gedurende 18-24 uur (37 °C) duidt een duidelijke kleurverandering van het medium van paars naar geel op de aanwezigheid van coliformen, en dus op verontreiniging van het betreffende oppervlak. Elke verpakking bevat een eenvoudig te volgen gebruiksaanwijzing. Opmerking: dit testsysteem staat enkel de uitsluiting of bevestiging van een coliforme verontreiniging op zich toe.
