Description
Cryogenic tubes 5 ml are sterile polypropylene (PP) vessels designed for the storage and preservation of biological material, including human and animal cells, at very low temperatures in the gas phase of liquid nitrogen or in cryogenic freezers. Manufactured from highly clear polypropylene on fully automated machines, they feature a smoothly polished inner wall that ensures low liquid retention and minimal sample loss. Produced in class 10 000 clean areas and subsequently gamma-sterilised, the tubes are supplied with a certificate confirming they are DNase-, RNase- and pyrogen-free. Cap and tube share the same material and expansion coefficient, maintaining a reliable seal across temperatures. A silicone washer in the cap provides positive leak-proof sealing; a three-quarter turn closes the tube hermetically and can be performed with one hand. Recesses for coloured cap inserts simplify identification. The special foot design allows freestanding use and secure holding in cryo racks. Autoclavable at 121 °C for 20 minutes with caps left open. These freestanding sterile cryogenic tubes from manufacturer ISOLAB Laborgeräte are packed in units of 100 pieces.

Questions about cryo tubes - 5,0 ml - skirted - external thread
What is this article?
cryo tubes - 5,0 ml - skirted - external thread is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes ISOLAB for laboratory use. It sits in Cryogenic vials & tubes, inside Cryogenics & cold storage, in Lab consumables.
A cryogenic vial is a small tube with a seal made for very low temperatures. Internal and external threads differ. A vial that will see liquid nitrogen has to be rated for it, and it should not be overfilled, because trapped liquid expands. The cap insert is part of the seal.
Cold storage slows chemistry and keeps cells, proteins and nucleic acids from falling apart. A cryogenic vial is made to survive liquid-nitrogen temperatures and to be sealed against the liquid. A box and a rack are how those vials are found again. The article is not part of free standard delivery when it must stay cold: cold-chain goods are never included in that free delivery. Biosafety of the material inside is summarised by the WHO laboratory biosafety topic. Reference lines are held by ATCC.
