Description

DMEM (Dulbecco's Modified Eagle Medium), high glucose with alanyl glutamine, is a widely used basal medium for supporting the growth of many different mammalian cells. This 500 ml formulation is modified with alanyl glutamine, sodium bicarbonate and phenol red, and is prepared without sodium pyruvate. Suitable for routine culture of diverse mammalian cell lines, it supplies a high-glucose nutrient base together with a stable glutamine source in the form of alanyl glutamine. Phenol red permits straightforward visual pH monitoring during incubation, while sodium bicarbonate supports buffering under standard CO2 conditions. Laboratories can employ this basal medium as a consistent starting point and add further supplements according to the needs of specific cell types. The medium is offered by manufacturer Sartorius in a practical single-unit pack with a net weight of 0,500 kg (gross weight 0,580 kg), making it convenient for everyday cell-culture workflows that require a defined high-glucose DMEM composition without sodium pyruvate.

Questions about DMEM H.G W. STABLE GLUTAMINE

What is this article?

DMEM H.G W. STABLE GLUTAMINE is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Sartorius for laboratory use. It sits in Click chemistry, bioconjugation & synthesis reagents, inside Biochemicals & reagents, in Microbiology lab supplies.

Click and bioconjugation reagents join two molecules under mild conditions, often an azide to an alkyne, or an NHS ester to an amine. The linker length and the reactive group are the specification. They are small bottles of a reactive compound, and moisture often ruins them.

A biochemical is a molecule of life, sold as a reagent: an amino acid, a sugar, a nucleotide, a lipid, an enzyme, an antibiotic. The difference from a bulk chemical is that the use is a biological one, and the impurities that matter are the ones that change that use. An enzyme is specified by activity, not only by mass. An antibiotic is specified by potency. Papers are on PubMed. Structures are on PubChem. Strains and lines that consume these reagents are at ATCC.
