Fully coated in polyvinyl chloride and cotton-lined, the green gloves offer extreme abrasion resistance and durability through a double-dip process. They guard against mechanical risks and selected chemicals including fats, oils and most acids and alkalis. Better tactile sensitivity and up to 50 % reduced hand fatigue support accurate work over longer periods, complemented by optimal abrasion resistance according to EN 388 for long standing time. Supplied as a pair in size 10 with a length of 400 mm, they provide additional cuff protection while maintaining comfort. Questions about EKASTU-Chemical Protection Gloves 640

What is this article?

EKASTU-Chemical Protection Gloves 640 is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Ekastu for laboratory use. It sits in Chemical-resistant gloves, inside Gloves, in Lab safety equipment.

A chemical-resistant glove is tested for permeation by named chemicals, for a stated time. The material, nitrile, neoprene, butyl or a laminate, decides which list it survives. A thin disposable nitrile glove is not this article. The permeation table, not the colour, is the specification.

A glove is a barrier on the hand, and the barrier is only as good as the hazard it was tested against. Nitrile, latex and vinyl disposable gloves are for splash and for incidental contact. A chemical-resistant glove is a different article, tested for permeation by named chemicals. A cut-resistant glove is for blades and edges. Cold and heat need yet another material. No one glove does all of these. Glove standards are listed under ISO hand protection. The legal text is the PPE Regulation. Chemical classes are on ECHA CLP. Practice is at EU-OSHA.
