Description
FC600S Chiller is a recirculating cooler for applications with large fluid volumes that require stronger pump performance. Integrated heating extends the working temperature range from −10 °C to 80 °C, while temperature constancy of ±0,2 °C supports precise control. The bath vessel is stainless steel and the pump is an immersion type. Flow and return temperatures can be set in a defined ratio; a front-mounted filling system simplifies charging and allows the circulation pump to run during filling. A bright MULTI-DISPLAY (LED) shows actual and setpoint values. Further features include over- and under-temperature warnings with intermittent acoustic signal, freeze protection and dry-running protection, a membrane keypad, front sight-glass level indication, self-test with sensor monitoring, pump-motor and compressor protection, all-pole disconnection with acoustic alarm, a removable ventilation grille for dust removal, and an RS232 interface for PC connection. Integrated heating delivers 1,2 kW. Delivery includes two hose olives each for 8 mm and 12 mm i.d. tubing on M16x1 external-thread pump connections. Cooling capacity is stated according to DIN 12876 (ethanol to 20 °C, thermal oil above 20 °C, 20 °C ambient). This unit from manufacturer Julabo suits demanding laboratory temperature-control work.

Questions about FC600S Recirculating cooler
What is this article?
FC600S Recirculating cooler is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Julabo for laboratory use. It sits in Circulators, chillers & thermostats, inside Heating, drying & cooling, in Lab instruments.
A circulator or thermostat holds a bath liquid at a set temperature and pumps it through a jacket. A chiller is the same idea aimed below ambient. The temperature range, the cooling power and the pump flow are the three numbers. The fluid has to match the range.
Temperature equipment either holds a set point or drives a sample toward one. An oven dries. A furnace reaches the temperatures of ashing and melting. A bath surrounds a vessel with water or oil. A circulator moves that fluid. An incubator holds the mild warmth of a culture. An autoclave uses steam under pressure to sterilise. The number that matters is the temperature the article actually reaches, not the number painted on the dial. Temperature is part of the international system kept by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET.
