Description

HPM D3B is a trinocular light microscope for laboratory imaging and documentation, equipped with a 45° inclined viewing head that rotates 360°. Wide-field WFP 10x/20 mm eyepieces with foldable eyecups support extended observation sessions. High-resolution E-Plan objectives at 4x, 10x, 40x and 100x yield magnifications of 40x, 100x, 400x and 1000x, with spring-loaded specimen protection on the 40x and 100x lenses. The 140 x 200 mm stage features an integrated mechanical stage with rackless belt drive and ergonomically arranged controls. A centerable Abbe condenser of NA 1,25 includes an iris diaphragm and filter holder and is height-adjustable. New-generation 3 W LED lighting with Köhler iris diaphragm allows continuous intensity adjustment via potentiometer, matching the brightness of a 30 W halogen lamp while offering an approximate lifetime of 50 000 hours. This trinocular model from manufacturer Windaus is delivered with a dust cover, power cable and operating instructions. Further accessories are available on request.

Questions about HPM D3B

What is this article?

HPM D3B is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Windaus for laboratory use. It sits in Microscope objectives, eyepieces & optics, inside Microscopy & histology, in Lab instruments.

An objective makes the resolution. Magnification and numerical aperture are the two numbers, and the tube length or the infinity correction has to match the microscope. An eyepiece mostly enlarges the image the objective already resolved. A mismatched objective does not become sharper by zooming.

A light microscope forms an image with glass lenses and transmitted or reflected light. A stereo microscope is the lower-magnification instrument for dissecting and for looking at a surface. Fluorescence needs a light source and filters matched to the dye. Histology is the preparation that makes a tissue readable: fixation, a cassette, a section, a stain. The objective's magnification and numerical aperture decide the resolution. The slide and the cover glass decide whether the section sits in the focal plane. Stains and dyes as substances are identified on PubChem. Papers on the methods are on PubMed.
