Description

Peltier cooling incubator IPP-Soc 260 is a large-capacity cooled incubation system with a chamber volume of 256 l and a maximum temperature of 60 °C. It addresses laboratory heating and cooling needs in environmental analysis, sampling and sample preparation, where larger batches or bulkier vessels must be held under controlled conditions. An inner socket is integrated, and operation is managed via a graphic single TFT display for straightforward monitoring. Two stainless steel grids are included to structure the load and improve access to samples throughout the chamber. Peltier technology supplies both heating and cooling without a conventional refrigeration compressor, supporting energy-conscious temperature control for incubation work. The model from manufacturer Memmert contains lithium-ion cells and is not subject to labelling according to ADR SV188. Supplied as a single complete unit, the 256 l chamber gives ample space for parallel incubations while remaining aligned with standard laboratory heating and cooling practice. Dual grids, inner socket and TFT interface together facilitate organised, cooled incubation up to 60 °C in demanding sample-handling environments.

This article is part of Incubators, in Heating, drying & cooling.

What is this article?

Peltier cooling incub., IPP-Soc 260, 256 l, max. 60 °C, with inner socket, is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Memmert for laboratory use. It sits in Incubators, inside Heating, drying & cooling, in Lab instruments.

An incubator holds the mild, even temperature a culture needs, often 25 °C or 37 °C, sometimes with carbon dioxide. It is not a drying oven. Uniformity and, for cells, the gas control are the specification. A flask of cells in a drying oven is a dead flask.

Temperature equipment either holds a set point or drives a sample toward one. An oven dries. A furnace reaches the temperatures of ashing and melting. A bath surrounds a vessel with water or oil. A circulator moves that fluid. An incubator holds the mild warmth of a culture. An autoclave uses steam under pressure to sterilise. The number that matters is the temperature the article actually reaches, not the number painted on the dial. Temperature is part of the international system kept by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET.
