Beschreibung

Consisting of acomplete glass set (see components).

The perforator is an extraction apparatus for carrying out an intensive liquid-liquid extraction. The solvent is continuously evaporated, condensed in a reflux condenser and continuously drips onto the extraction material, which is dissolved in a liquid that is immiscible with the solvent.

The perforator method is an extraction method used to determine the formaldehyde content of uncoated and unvarnished wood materials. The formaldehyde is extracted from the test material using boiling toluene and dissolved in distilled and demineralised water. The formaldehyde content of the aqueous solution can be determined photometrically using the acetylacetone method.

(formerly DIN EN 120:1992)

The standard specifies the extraction method and the subsequent determination of the content of formaldehyde in the wood samples.
