Description

Rotilabo® UN wide-neck barrel is a 60 l HDPE container intended for laboratory bulk storage and movement of liquids and compatible contents under a defined UN packaging designation. It carries the marking UN 1H2/X88/S/./D/BAM 8631 - M and includes a PE lid with galvanized tension ring to close the wide neck securely. Handles are provided on the 60 l model, supporting safer handling of the larger fill volume. Supplied as a single unit weighing 4,000 kg, the barrel extends capacity beyond smaller canisters while remaining a standard labware format for carboys, canisters and barrels. This Rotilabo® UN wide-neck barrel from manufacturer ROTH SELECTION is suited to staging media, buffers, process intermediates or other bulk laboratory liquids when a certified wide-mouth HDPE drum is preferred. The wide neck aids rapid filling, emptying and interior access for cleaning between uses. Choose the 60 l size when protocols or store logistics call for fewer, larger vessels with UN-type marking, PE lid, galvanized tension ring and integrated handles for everyday laboratory bulk handling.

What is this article?

Rotilabo®-UN-wide neck barrel, HDPE, 60 l, 1 unit(s) is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Carl Roth for laboratory use. It sits in Canisters & jerrycans, inside Bottles & containers, in Labware.

A canister or jerrycan holds litres, not millilitres, and it is shaped to be carried and to pour. The material has to survive the liquid for the whole time the can sits in the store.

A laboratory bottle is a closed container with a stated volume and a neck that takes a cap, a stopper or a dispenser. Borosilicate glass is the choice when the liquid is a solvent, or when the bottle will be heated or autoclaved. Polyethylene and polypropylene are the choice when the bottle must not shatter, or when hydrofluoric acid would attack glass. A narrow mouth pours. A wide mouth is for powders and for reaching the bottom. Laboratory ware of this kind is indexed under ISO laboratory glassware. Traceable volume sits with the BIPM and NIST Physical Measurement.
