Description
Storage Box 9 × 9 is a polypropylene freezer box for organised cryogenic storage of 81 screw-cap vessels of 1–2 mL. With a height of 53 mm (2 inch), it offers stable handling and efficient use of freezer space in routine laboratory workflows. High-contrast, durable alphanumeric laser marking on every position enables clear sample identification and helps reduce the risk of mix-ups. A transparent lid supports quick visual inspection without opening the box, while the light-coloured body and five labelling fields on the lid provide flexible, reliable marking options. Manufactured from polypropylene (PP), the box remains mechanically stable during freezing and opens and closes smoothly. It is suitable for freezing down to −86 °C and is autoclavable at 121 °C for 20 minutes. These boxes from manufacturer Eppendorf can be combined flexibly with other formats to optimise ultra-low freezer capacity. Supplied as a pack of three units, they are well suited to sample archiving and everyday cryostorage in research and clinical laboratories.

Questions about Storage Box 9 x 9, 3 pcs., height 2 inch
What is this article?
Storage Box 9 x 9, 3 pcs., height 2 inch is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Eppendorf for laboratory use. It sits in Cryo boxes, racks & freezer storage, inside Cryogenics & cold storage, in Lab consumables.
A cryo box or a freezer rack is how vials are found again at −80 °C or in the vapour phase of nitrogen. The grid, 9×9 or 10×10, has to match the vials. A cardboard box and a polycarbonate box differ in whether they survive liquid nitrogen. The map of the box is part of the sample.
Cold storage slows chemistry and keeps cells, proteins and nucleic acids from falling apart. A cryogenic vial is made to survive liquid-nitrogen temperatures and to be sealed against the liquid. A box and a rack are how those vials are found again. The article is not part of free standard delivery when it must stay cold: cold-chain goods are never included in that free delivery. Biosafety of the material inside is summarised by the WHO laboratory biosafety topic. Reference lines are held by ATCC.
