Description
SW23 shaking water bath combines controlled sample tempering with adjustable shaking for routine laboratory work. The stainless-steel bath vessel offers a usable opening of 50 x 30 cm and a bath depth of 18 cm. An inward-sloping rim returns residual water into the vessel even after the cover is opened. Working temperature ranges from +20 to +99,9 °C with temperature constancy of ±0,2 °C or ±0,02 °C. Simple membrane-keypad operation, a bright LED display, all-round splash-water protection and a mains switch integrated in the control foil support convenient daily handling. Shaking frequency is adjustable from 20 to 200 rpm. Dry-running protection with acoustic and optical signalling, together with over- and under-temperature warning and shut-off functions, enhances operational safety. The base plate and shaking insert are removable, and a drain screw simplifies emptying. For tempering tasks near or below ambient temperature a cooling coil or immersion cooler is recommended. Parts contacting the tempering fluid are stainless steel or high-grade plastics. This model from manufacturer Julabo is supplied as one unit and accepts extensive accessories for sample tempering, including an optional hinged bath cover.

Questions about SW23 Shaking water bath
What is this article?
SW23 Shaking water bath is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Julabo for laboratory use. It sits in Water & oil baths, inside Heating, drying & cooling, in Lab instruments.
A water bath surrounds a vessel with warm water. An oil bath reaches higher than water's boiling point. The tank volume and the maximum temperature are the specification. A cover and a level matter, because a dry bath element overheats.
Temperature equipment either holds a set point or drives a sample toward one. An oven dries. A furnace reaches the temperatures of ashing and melting. A bath surrounds a vessel with water or oil. A circulator moves that fluid. An incubator holds the mild warmth of a culture. An autoclave uses steam under pressure to sterilise. The number that matters is the temperature the article actually reaches, not the number painted on the dial. Temperature is part of the international system kept by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET.
