Reactievaatje, cilindrisch, gegradueerd met groef in de vlakke flens. In de bodem van het reactievaatje is een aftapkraan ingebouwd. Reactievaatjes tot 6 liter met een kraanopening Ø van 10 mm; vanaf 10 liter met een kraanopening Ø van 20 mm. Het vlakflens-reactievaatje wordt afgesloten met een deksel, dat apart verkrijgbaar is. Beide delen worden bij elkaar gehouden door een klemring. Een afdichtring, of het gebruik van slijpvet, voorkomt dat de slijpoppervlakken vastlopen. Geschikte siliconen- en FEP-afdichtringen zijn apart verkrijgbaar. Het vlakflensvat kan via diverse standaard geslepen verbindingen in het deksel worden gecombineerd met andere componenten (bijv. koelers, roerstaafassen en druppeltrechters).Toepassingsgebieden: preparatieve werkzaamheden, zoals algemene reacties, destillaties en verdampingen.
