ROTI®Plate90 zijn geprepareerde kweekbodemplaten met een diameter van 90 mm. Ze zijn hiermee aangepast aan de grootte van membraanfilters voor het testen van kiemarme vloeistoffen via de membraanfiltratiemethode. Ze zijn ook in het algemeen toepasbaar voor de microbiologische analyse van monsters. De kiemen van de verwachte kiemarme vloeistofmonsters worden geconcentreerd door membraanfiltratie. Vervolgens wordt het membraan boven op het medium geplaatst en geïncubeerd. Het gebruik van een membraan met een raster helpt bij het tellen van de resulterende kolonies. Onze producten zijn uitsluitend getest en goedgekeurd voor onderzoek en ontwikkeling.
Monsters waarvan een hogere microbiologische belasting wordt verwacht, worden voorbereid in een seriële verdunning. Daarna wordt elke verdunningsstap uitgeplaat en geïncubeerd. Het aantal gegroeide kolonies wordt genoteerd als resultaat.
Sabouraud 4 % glucose-agar met chlooramfenicol (Sab4Cla) wordt gebruikt om te testen op de aanwezigheid van schimmels, evenals voor het tellen van schimmelkolonies. Het hoge glucosegehalte bevordert de groei van deze micro-organismen, terwijl de groei van bacteriën wordt onderdrukt door de zure pH van 5,6.
