ROTI®Prep Soil DNA werd ontwikkeld voor het isoleren van microbieel DNA uit bodemmonsters. Bodemmonsters vormen een bijzonder complex uitgangsmateriaal, waardoor het dringend noodzakelijk is om deze eerst mechanisch af te breken. In de eerste stap van de extractie worden de bodemmonsters in een lysisbuis in lysisbuffer gehomogeniseerd en opengebroken. Na een centrifugatiestap wordt het lysaat naar de centrifugatiekolom overgebracht en wordt het DNA met behulp van de bindingsbuffer aan het membraan gebonden. Na verschillende was- en centrifugatiestappen wordt het DNA vervolgens met de elutiebuffer van het membraan geëlueerd.

ROTI®SampleLyse Microbes 1 buizen, Lysis Buffer LSS, Precipitation Buffer PB, Binding Buffer BR, Binding Buffer BDS, Washing Solution WSO, Washing Buffer WSH (conc.), Elution Buffer EB, gedetailleerde handleiding. Ethanol 99,8 % (p.a., art.nr. 9065) en een homogenisator (bijv. art.nr. PA66.1) zijn niet in de kit inbegrepen en dienen indien nodig apart te worden besteld.
