Antipain was isolated from streptomycin (actinomycetes). Reversible inhibition of papain (derivation of the name: anti-papain), trypsin, cathepsin A, B, D, plasmin, chymotrypsin, pepsin and calpain l.
Antipain has a similar spectrum of activity to leupeptin.
Directions for use
Working concentration: 10-50 µg/ml (15-75 µM).
