Material: borosilicate glass from hydrolytic class I.
- 1.5H thickness (0.17 ±0.005 mm), specially for high-resolution precision instruments
- Absolutely colourless, completely clear, suitable for fluorescence microscopy
- Refractive index 1.524 to 1.527 at 546.07 nm
Ideal for lenses with a high numeric aperture and high resolving power, e.g.:
- Dry lenses (air immersion): N.A. >0.7
- Water immersion lenses: N.A. >1.0
- Glycerine immersion lenses: N.A. >1.2
- Oil immersion lenses: N.A. >1.3
Purpose: coverslips are accessories for in vitro diagnostic examinations in optical microscopy and are used to cover specimens for archiving purposes.
