Hydrophilic membrane. Intended use: outside of the U.S. and Japan, Millex®-GS/HA/AA filter units may also be used for direct patient care and pharmacy admixture applications. In the hospital pharmacy, Millex® filter units can be used to sterile filter or clarify small volumes of protein pharmaceuticals, diagnostic imaging agents, chemotherapeutics, aqueous solutions, or water during admixture preparation. Direct patient care applications include sterilization and/or particulate removal from epidural and other liquid anesthetics as well as from irrigation solutions used in ophthalmic, otic, and other surgical procedures.
