Sieve rings determine the end fineness of the sample. Sieve rings with trapezoidal perforations and round perforations are available. Sieve rings with trapezoidal perforations improve size reduction through extra shearing action. Sieve rings with round perforations are recommended for grinding brittle materials and materials of medium fineness with small grain bands.
