Use
Erlenmeyer flasks with baffles are used where cultures or liquids need to be thoroughly mixed. For this purpose, the Erlenmeyer flasks are mounted on a shaker and set in rotation. The baffle prevents the liquid from rotating evenly inside the flask and thus provides additional turbulence.
We deliberately manufacture our baffle flasks with only one baffle. The advantage over pistons with several baffles is that they are not as sensitive, the volume is not reduced as much and the pistons are easier to clean.
