Description

BOLA laboratory screw joints with GL 25 thread for hose outer diameter 4,0 mm deliver a compact connection solution for laboratory tubing. The assembly features a red screw cap manufactured from glass-fibre-reinforced ETFE and inner parts based on an ETFE clamping ring with a PTFE sealing wedge and sealing plate. For hose outer diameters below 3 mm an additional O-ring is provided that does not contact the flow medium. The process medium touches only PTFE, giving very good chemical resistance for laboratory fluid transfer. This joint is supplied as one piece with a net weight of 0,06 kg and is sized for 4,0 mm hose outer diameter on GL 25 threads. These BOLA fittings from manufacturer Bohlender are suitable for analytical, preparative and general laboratory applications that require secure clamping on larger GL necks together with inert wetted surfaces. Defined dimensions for 4,0 mm outer-diameter hose and GL 25 thread make it straightforward to integrate the screw joint into existing glassware, reactors and tubing layouts where chemically resistant sealing is essential.

Questions about BOLA Laboratory Screw Joints, GL 25 Ø 4 mm inner parts made of PTFE and PVDF, ET

What is this article?

BOLA Laboratory Screw Joints, GL 25 Ø 4 mm inner parts made of PTFE and PVDF, ET is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bohlender for laboratory use. It sits in Screw caps & closures, inside Stoppers, caps & closures, in Labware.

A screw cap has a thread and a liner. The thread has to match the bottle. The liner has to survive the liquid: a pulp liner fails in a solvent that a PTFE-faced liner ignores. The colour of the cap is not the specification.

A closure is the part that decides whether a bottle stays shut and whether the contents attack the seal. A ground-glass stopper matches a ground neck. A screw cap needs the right thread and a liner that survives the liquid. Rubber and silicone stoppers push into a mouth. The liner, not the colour of the cap, is the chemical choice. The vessels they close are indexed under ISO laboratory glassware.
