Description

Drum pump PP with rigid outlet bend is a manual polypropylene pump for rapid transfer of liquids from drums, canisters and tanks. The 50 cm immersion length and delivery of 200 ml per stroke support efficient filling tasks, with a capacity of up to approximately 12 l/min depending on media and handling. Good chemical resistance of PP allows use with acids, alkalis and aggressive cleaners in industrial and laboratory environments. A low-lying foot check valve together with stepless immersion-depth adjustment via the drum screw connection promotes thorough residual emptying. The drum screw fitting secures the pump firmly in the container; matching drum fittings and thread adapters for common vessels are available as accessories. Seals are PTFE and the immersion tube diameter is 32 mm. Suitable for drums and tanks from 30 to 1000 litres, this unit from manufacturer Bürkle combines robust PP construction with a rigid outlet bend for controlled discharge. Pack size is one piece, ready for installation on standard containers where dependable manual pumping of chemically demanding liquids is required.

Questions about PP barrel pump w/discharge tube, 50cm, 200ml/ str.

What is this article?

PP barrel pump w/discharge tube, 50cm, 200ml/ str. is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bürkle for laboratory use. It sits in Drum, barrel & transfer pumps, inside Pumps, vacuum & evaporation, in Lab instruments.

A drum or barrel pump transfers tens of litres from a can that is too heavy to pour. Hand and electric drives differ. The tube material, stainless steel or plastic, has to survive the liquid. It is a transfer tool, not a metering pipette.

A vacuum pump lowers the pressure above a liquid so it boils at a lower temperature. That is the point of a rotary evaporator: solvent leaves a sample without cooking it. A diaphragm pump or a rotary-vane pump is chosen by the vacuum it reaches and by whether solvent vapour will destroy it. A peristaltic pump moves liquid by squeezing a tube, so the liquid touches only the tube. A barrel pump transfers a larger volume from a drum. The glassware on the evaporator is indexed under ISO laboratory glassware. Solvent identity is on PubChem.
