Description

Drum valve, PP, G 1 1/2'' enables fast and clean emptying of liquids, including highly viscous media, from metal drums. Made from glass-fibre-reinforced polypropylene (PP) with NBR seals, it is intended for metal drums fitted with a 2'' BSP-Tri-Sure metal drum closure. The valve allows the drum closure to be opened, the contents discharged and the drum resealed even when a full drum is lying on its side, without having to move or upright the container. This capability simplifies handling in laboratory, production and warehouse environments where drums remain horizontal for space or safety reasons. The reinforced PP body provides mechanical strength for repeated use, while the NBR gaskets support a reliable seal during transfer. Offered as a single piece from manufacturer Bürkle, the drum valve is suited to controlled discharge of process liquids, oils and other media compatible with polypropylene and NBR. Its net weight of 0,781 kg reflects a solid, durable construction for everyday drum-emptying tasks in industrial and laboratory fluid handling.

Questions about Barrel valve, PP, G 1 1/2''

What is this article?

Barrel valve, PP, G 1 1/2'' is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bürkle for laboratory use. It sits in Canisters & jerrycans, inside Bottles & containers, in Labware.

A canister or jerrycan holds litres, not millilitres, and it is shaped to be carried and to pour. The material has to survive the liquid for the whole time the can sits in the store.

A laboratory bottle is a closed container with a stated volume and a neck that takes a cap, a stopper or a dispenser. Borosilicate glass is the choice when the liquid is a solvent, or when the bottle will be heated or autoclaved. Polyethylene and polypropylene are the choice when the bottle must not shatter, or when hydrofluoric acid would attack glass. A narrow mouth pours. A wide mouth is for powders and for reaching the bottom. Laboratory ware of this kind is indexed under ISO laboratory glassware. Traceable volume sits with the BIPM and NIST Physical Measurement.
