Description

Binocular Microscope iScope is a laboratory light microscope featuring corrected plan objectives, Köhler field diaphragm and adjustable 3 W NeoLED transmitted-light illumination with an internal 85–240 V power supply. Binocular, trinocular or ERGO tubes with a 360° rotatable head are supported. EWF 10x/20 mm or 10x/22 mm eyepieces pair with DIN plan objectives 4x/0,10, 10x/0,25, 20x/0,40, S40x/0,65 and S100x/1,25 oil immersion on a five-position nosepiece for magnifications of 40x, 100x, 400x and 1000x. The rackless mechanical stage with belt-drive guidance measures 187/230 x 140 mm; a 156 x 138 mm mechanical stage is also referenced. A height-adjustable Abbe condenser with N.A. 1,25 completes the optical path. Delivered in styrofoam packaging with dust cover, spare fuse and operating instructions from manufacturer Windaus, the instrument is intended for precise brightfield observation in laboratory environments. Additional accessories are available on request.

Questions about Binokulares Mikroskop IScope

What is this article?

Binokulares Mikroskop IScope is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Windaus for laboratory use. It sits in Microscope objectives, eyepieces & optics, inside Microscopy & histology, in Lab instruments.

An objective makes the resolution. Magnification and numerical aperture are the two numbers, and the tube length or the infinity correction has to match the microscope. An eyepiece mostly enlarges the image the objective already resolved. A mismatched objective does not become sharper by zooming.

A light microscope forms an image with glass lenses and transmitted or reflected light. A stereo microscope is the lower-magnification instrument for dissecting and for looking at a surface. Fluorescence needs a light source and filters matched to the dye. Histology is the preparation that makes a tissue readable: fixation, a cassette, a section, a stain. The objective's magnification and numerical aperture decide the resolution. The slide and the cover glass decide whether the section sits in the focal plane. Stains and dyes as substances are identified on PubChem. Papers on the methods are on PubMed.
