Description

BOLA cold traps with two GL 14 connections and an approximate collection volume of 320 ml are made of fluoropolymer PFA for laboratory vapour trapping and condensation work. The transparent design allows visual monitoring of condensate build-up during use. A union nut of PTFE–glass fibre secures the assembly, while the PTFE head carries two threaded GL 14 sockets with a bore diameter of 8 mm. Hard-walled tubing can be attached using optionally available laboratory screw fittings; for soft, flexible tubing lines, GL 14 screw olives are recommended. Column outer diameter is 60 mm and overall height is 400 mm, giving a compact format for standard bench and apparatus setups. These cold traps from manufacturer Bohlender combine fluoropolymer chemical resistance with practical GL connectivity for controlled collection of condensable vapours. Net weight is 0,848 kg. The unit is supplied as one piece and integrates readily into existing laboratory tubing configurations with matching GL 14 accessories.

What is this article?

BOLA Cold Traps, 2 x GL14, ca. 320 ml Made of fluoroplastic PFA. is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bohlender for laboratory use. It sits in Polymers, PEGs & silicones, inside Organic chemicals & synthesis reagents, in Lab chemicals.

A polymer, a PEG or a silicone is sold by molecular weight, or by viscosity, as much as by name. PEG 400 and PEG 4000 are different liquids and solids. A silicone oil's viscosity grades are the product range. The average molecular weight is the specification.

An organic chemical is built on carbon. In this category it is a building block or a reagent for making another molecule: a starting material, a coupling agent, a polymer, a PEG. Purity is a specification of which impurities remain. The structure, the CAS number and the grade decide whether two bottles are the same substance. Structures and properties are on PubChem. Nomenclature is IUPAC. Classification follows ECHA and the CLP Regulation.
