Description

BOLA replacement screw cone caps GL 25 for hose or tube diameters from 10,1 mm up to 14 mm are red laboratory screw caps intended as spare parts for larger-bore GL-threaded connections. Each cap is moulded from glass-fibre-reinforced ETFE and features a grippy knurled rim plus a hexagonal profile for controlled tightening and stable seating. Chemical resistance is very good, and the medium comes into contact only with PTFE, which supports clean fluid paths in laboratory tubing and pipe assemblies. Sized for outer diameters greater than 10,1 mm on GL 25 threads, these cone caps fit the mid-range tubing commonly used in sample lines, reagent transfer and apparatus connections. They are offered as single pieces with a net weight of 0,028 kg and are suited to routine replacement of worn screw-cone components without altering the GL 25 interface. From manufacturer Bohlender, the BOLA design keeps the PTFE-wetted sealing concept consistent while the reinforced ETFE body provides mechanical strength for repeated handling on the bench.

Questions about BOLA Replacement Caps, GL 25, Ø 10,1 - 14 mm

What is this article?

BOLA Replacement Caps, GL 25, Ø 10,1 - 14 mm is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bohlender for laboratory use. It sits in Screw caps & closures, inside Stoppers, caps & closures, in Labware.

A screw cap has a thread and a liner. The thread has to match the bottle. The liner has to survive the liquid: a pulp liner fails in a solvent that a PTFE-faced liner ignores. The colour of the cap is not the specification.

A closure is the part that decides whether a bottle stays shut and whether the contents attack the seal. A ground-glass stopper matches a ground neck. A screw cap needs the right thread and a liner that survives the liquid. Rubber and silicone stoppers push into a mouth. The liner, not the colour of the cap, is the chemical choice. The vessels they close are indexed under ISO laboratory glassware.
