Description
The b.safe Control Waste Cap S55 DLC is a laboratory screw cap for controlled waste collection and fill-level monitoring on S55 canisters. The housing is made of glass-fibre-reinforced polypropylene (PP-GF) and carries a freely rotatable PTFE insert for secure, chemical-resistant fluid handling. Two permanently mounted cables, each about 0,5 m long, report a pre-alarm at roughly 50 % fill level and a main alarm near 100 % of nominal capacity when linked to a b.safe Display. A red LED blink light helps identify a full canister at a glance. PFA fittings accept capillaries with outer diameters of 1,6 mm, 2,2 mm and 3,2 mm on UNF 1/4" threads; hose olives suit tubing with inner diameter 5,5–8 mm on NPT 1/8" threads. Blind fittings close unused ports, and one GL14 thread takes a b.safe exhaust filter. The S55 DLC layout provides four capillary connections plus two NPT 1/8" outlets, with coloured fittings and blanking plugs as supplied. This configuration from manufacturer Bohlender supports HPLC waste lines and similar analytical fluid-management setups. Pack size is 1 pc; net weight is 0,163 kg.

Questions about b.safe Control Waste Cap S55 DLC, 4x UNF1/4'', 1x GL14, 2x NPT1/8'' Screw cap
What is this article?
b.safe Control Waste Cap S55 DLC, 4x UNF1/4'', 1x GL14, 2x NPT1/8'' Screw cap is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bohlender for laboratory use. It sits in HPLC fittings, tubing & inline filters, inside HPLC columns & accessories, in Chromatography equipment.
HPLC fittings and tubing are numbered by bore. A wide bore after the column broadens the peaks. Finger-tight and wrench fittings, and stainless against PEEK, are different pressure ratings. An inline filter is the last screen before the column, and it clogs on purpose so the column does not.
An HPLC column is a tube packed, or coated, with a stationary phase. The sample is carried through it by a liquid, and the compounds leave at different times. The phase, the particle size, the length and the internal diameter decide the separation. A guard column is a short sacrificial piece in front of the analytical column. Fittings and tubing have a bore that either preserves the peak or smears it. Compound names follow IUPAC. Data are on PubChem. Method grades often cite the European Pharmacopoeia or USP.
