Detectable scoop SteriPlast® is a sterile blue polystyrene (PS) sampling scoop with a nominal volume of 0,25 l and an overall length of 232 mm, intended for single-use handling of powders, granules and pastes. Production, assembly and packaging take place in a cleanroom class 7 environment; each scoop is individually packed and gamma-sterilised for disposable hygienic use. In addition to the blue colour that aids visual recognition, a specialised additive in the material renders the scoop detectable by metal detectors, X-ray inspection and colour scanners, allowing plastic pieces to be sorted out via conventional foreign-body control systems. The product is suitable within HACCP, IFS and BRC foreign-body management frameworks and corresponds to EU food-contact and FDA guidelines.
