Description

Digital microscope set KERN OBL 137T241 is a complete laboratory digital solution that combines an OBL-series infinity-optics microscope with an adapted tablet camera for direct on-screen live examination. The matching C-mount adapter is included, together with a dust cover, eyecups and a multilingual operating manual. Infinity optics make the OBL platform ideal for demanding transmitted-light applications, while the robust ergonomic stand supports safe, comfortable work. Continuously dimmable 3 W LED illumination and a fixed pre-centred, focusable 1,25 Abbe condenser with aperture and field diaphragm enable simplified Köhler illumination without condenser decentring. A large mechanical stage with specimen holder holds up to two slides and is focused via bilateral coaxial coarse and fine drives. The KERN ODC 241 tablet camera integrates a 5 MP sensor for live viewing on the Android tablet plus image and video capture for documentation. Simple length, area and angle measurements and a manual counting function are available, with automatic white balance and contrast adjustment for efficient workflows. Interfaces support USB stick or SD storage, USB mouse, HDMI output to an external display and WLAN transfer of stored data. From manufacturer Kern, the tablet camera is supplied with pre-installed software and power supply.

Questions about Digital Microscope Set KERN OBL 137T241

What is this article?

Digital Microscope Set KERN OBL 137T241 is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Kern for laboratory use. It sits in Digital & USB microscopes, inside Microscopy & histology, in Lab instruments.

A digital or USB microscope is a camera with optics, useful for inspection and for a quick shared image. It does not replace a compound microscope when the method needs a stated numerical aperture and a fluorescence filter. Magnification claims on these are often a screen magnification, not an optical one.

A light microscope forms an image with glass lenses and transmitted or reflected light. A stereo microscope is the lower-magnification instrument for dissecting and for looking at a surface. Fluorescence needs a light source and filters matched to the dye. Histology is the preparation that makes a tissue readable: fixation, a cassette, a section, a stain. The objective's magnification and numerical aperture decide the resolution. The slide and the cover glass decide whether the section sits in the focal plane. Stains and dyes as substances are identified on PubChem. Papers on the methods are on PubMed.
