Description

Drum heater type WODS is a silicone-coated glass-fibre mat heater intended for 30 L drums, operating at 230 VAC with a rated power of 300 W and a maximum permissible operating temperature of 120 °C. The outer material is a silicone-coated glass-fibre mat, secured by hooks and a tension spring, and fits drum circumferences from 920 to 980 mm at a heater height of 125 mm. Integrated equipment comprises a safety capillary-tube thermostat adjustable from 0 to 120 °C with an ON/OFF switch and two indicator lamps. The unit is built to protection class II and protection rating IP40, with a net weight of 0,9 kg. These drum heaters from manufacturer Winkler are intended for controlled warming of drum contents in laboratory and process environments. For outdoor placement, suitable shielding against direct environmental exposure is recommended, as the heaters must not be subjected to weather. Compact geometry and straightforward mechanical fastening make the WODS design practical for routine container heating tasks where moderate process temperatures up to 120 °C are required.

Questions about Drum heater Type WODS 30L 230V 300W Tmax. 120°C

What is this article?

Drum heater Type WODS 30L 230V 300W Tmax. 120°C is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Winkler for laboratory use. It sits in Muffle & tube furnaces, inside Heating, drying & cooling, in Lab instruments.

A muffle furnace surrounds a sample with heat for ashing or ignition, often to 1100 °C. A tube furnace heats a sample in a controlled atmosphere inside a tube. The maximum temperature and the chamber size are the specification. A drying oven is not a furnace.

Temperature equipment either holds a set point or drives a sample toward one. An oven dries. A furnace reaches the temperatures of ashing and melting. A bath surrounds a vessel with water or oil. A circulator moves that fluid. An incubator holds the mild warmth of a culture. An autoclave uses steam under pressure to sterilise. The number that matters is the temperature the article actually reaches, not the number painted on the dial. Temperature is part of the international system kept by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET.
