Description

Drying and heating oven FD 23-230V is a forced-convection laboratory oven built for particularly fast drying and sterilisation applications up to +300 °C. Its 20 l nominal chamber volume combines APT.line™ preheating chamber technology with powerful air circulation to achieve highly homogeneous temperature distribution and rapid thermal dynamics. The operating range extends from +5 °C above ambient temperature to +300 °C. An adjustable exhaust air flap, a controller with time functions and program memory support reproducible workflows, while two chrome-plated racks provide stable sample placement. A Class 2 temperature selector limiter (DIN 12880) with optical alarm enhances operational safety. Connectivity includes an Ethernet interface; the mains connection uses a Euro plug (Type C). Net weight is 30 kg (gross 32 kg). This FD-series unit from manufacturer Binder helps laboratories save valuable time whenever quick, uniform drying or sterilisation is essential.

This article is part of Drying ovens & climate chambers, in Heating, drying & cooling.

Questions about Drying and heating chambers FD 23-230V

What is this article?

Drying and heating chambers FD 23-230V is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Binder for laboratory use. It sits in Drying ovens & climate chambers, inside Heating, drying & cooling, in Lab instruments.

A drying oven holds a temperature above ambient to drive off water or to condition a sample. A climate chamber also holds humidity. Uniformity across the chamber, not only the set point, decides whether two samples on different shelves saw the same conditions.

Temperature equipment either holds a set point or drives a sample toward one. An oven dries. A furnace reaches the temperatures of ashing and melting. A bath surrounds a vessel with water or oil. A circulator moves that fluid. An incubator holds the mild warmth of a culture. An autoclave uses steam under pressure to sterilise. The number that matters is the temperature the article actually reaches, not the number painted on the dial. Temperature is part of the international system kept by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET.
