Description

Drying and heating oven FDS115UL-120V is a Solid.Line laboratory oven for drying and warm storage applications in research and quality assurance. It covers a temperature range from +10 °C above ambient temperature to +250 °C and provides a nominal volume of 114 l. APT.line™ preheating chamber technology combined with forced-air circulation (Umluft) supports efficient heat transfer and temperature uniformity. An adjustable exhaust air flap enables controlled ventilation. The controller features a timer function for timed processes. One chrome-plated rack with floor support is supplied. An integrated temperature selector limiter Class 2 (DIN 12880) with optical alarm contributes to safe operation. Ethernet connectivity and a United States Type A/B mains plug are included. Net weight is 59 kg and gross weight 61 kg. This forced-air model from manufacturer Binder is tailored to thermal workflows that benefit from active air circulation rather than natural convection alone.

This article is part of Drying ovens & climate chambers, in Heating, drying & cooling.

Questions about Drying and heating chambers FDS115UL-120V

What is this article?

Drying and heating chambers FDS115UL-120V is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Binder for laboratory use. It sits in Drying ovens & climate chambers, inside Heating, drying & cooling, in Lab instruments.

A drying oven holds a temperature above ambient to drive off water or to condition a sample. A climate chamber also holds humidity. Uniformity across the chamber, not only the set point, decides whether two samples on different shelves saw the same conditions.

Temperature equipment either holds a set point or drives a sample toward one. An oven dries. A furnace reaches the temperatures of ashing and melting. A bath surrounds a vessel with water or oil. A circulator moves that fluid. An incubator holds the mild warmth of a culture. An autoclave uses steam under pressure to sterilise. The number that matters is the temperature the article actually reaches, not the number painted on the dial. Temperature is part of the international system kept by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET.
