Description
DURAN® Micro Burette, Class AS, with Schellbach stripe and PTFE key is a precision volumetric instrument for titrimetric work. Made from chemically highly resistant borosilicate glass 3.3, this 10 ml micro burette features precise scaling that allows the liquid volume required for titration to be read accurately after the reaction is complete. Adjustment is performed for delivery (“Ex”) at a reference temperature of + 20 °C, so dispensed quantities match the scale exactly because liquid adhesion to the glass is accounted for during calibration. Volume tolerances comply with ISO and DIN error limits for accuracy class AS. The straight NS stopcock is fitted with a PTFE key that needs no greasing, simplifying laboratory handling compared with glass keys. A Schellbach stripe improves meniscus readability and main-point ring graduation is provided; the waiting time is 30 seconds. Class AS burettes carrying a batch number are supplied with a batch certificate (CoC) that documents the mean value of the measured batch, the standard deviation and the issue date; certificates are also available online. Suitable for titration, volumetry and quantitative analysis, this instrument from manufacturer Duran/DWK Life Sciences is offered as a pack of 2 pieces.

Questions about DURAN® Microburette, Class AS, Schellbach stripe, PTFE key, CoC, batch
What is this article?
DURAN® Microburette, Class AS, Schellbach stripe, PTFE key, CoC, batch is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes DWK Life Sciences for laboratory use. It sits in Burettes, inside Volumetric glassware, in Labware.
A burette delivers a measured volume through a stopcock, which is how a titration is read. Class A and class AS state the tolerance. The stopcock, glass or PTFE, and the volume of the burette are the choices. A dirty bore changes the delivered volume.
Volumetric glassware is glass that has been calibrated to contain or to deliver one stated volume at a reference temperature. That calibration is the whole point. Class A and class AS have a tighter tolerance than class B. A volumetric flask contains. A pipette and a burette deliver. A measuring cylinder is the coarser reading, used when the volume is not the result. The classes sit under ISO laboratory glassware. The chain back to the unit of volume is the work of the BIPM and of NIST.
