Description

Fe 14761/2 is an iron reagent test for photometric determination of iron in the measuring range 0,005–5,00 mg/l Fe. The method is based on triazine chemistry and is intended for use with PhotoLab® and pHotoFlex® instruments. Analyses are performed with a 5 ml sample volume in 10 mm, 20 mm or 50 mm cuvettes, giving flexibility for different concentration levels and optical path lengths. One pack contains 250 tests and includes Combicheck CC90 compatibility; batch certificates are available. For total iron determination, Crack-Set 10 or Crack-Set 10-C with empty round cuvettes can be applied as described by the manufacturer. Supplied from WTW - a Xylem brand, this reagent test supports routine iron monitoring in water and laboratory samples where a defined measuring range, multiple cuvette options and documented batch quality are required for reliable analytical results.

This article is part of ICP, AAS & ion standards, in Analytical standards & reference materials.

What is this article?

Fe 14761/2, Iron Reagent test Measuring range: 0.005 - 5.0 is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes WTW - a Xylem brand for laboratory use. It sits in ICP, AAS & ion standards, inside Analytical standards & reference materials, in Lab chemicals.

An ICP, AAS or ion standard is a solution of a stated element or ion at a stated concentration, with an uncertainty. It is the calibration point of a spectrometer or an electrode. The matrix, often dilute acid, has to match the method. A standard past its expiry is not that concentration.

A reference material is the article against which another result is compared. Its value is stated, and the uncertainty of that value is part of the product. An ICP or ion standard is a solution of known concentration. A volumetric standard is for titration. A chromatography standard is the peak you match. The grade names, including pharmacopoeia and ASTM, say which impurities were limited. Identity is checked on PubChem. Names follow IUPAC. Medicinal grades follow the European Pharmacopoeia and USP.
