Description

Three-neck round-bottom flask with angled necks, standard ground joints and LBG 3.3 borosilicate glass construction is intended for multi-neck laboratory setups. This flask offers a nominal volume of 0,25 l and features a central standard ground joint of NS 29/32 together with two angled side necks, supporting simultaneous connection of condensers, addition funnels or temperature probes during reaction or distillation work. Made from borosilicate glass 3.3 (Labbox), the vessel provides the chemical resistance and thermal behaviour expected of LBG 3.3 laboratory glassware. Net weight is 0,120 kg. Supplied as 1 pc, it is suited to distillation, synthesis and receiving duties typical of round-bottom flasks, ground-joint flasks, distillation flasks and receiving flasks. The three-neck layout with angled side arms keeps the assembly compact on a heating mantle while giving convenient access for reagents and instrumentation. Compatible with standard NS 29/32 jointed apparatus, the flask integrates readily into existing laboratory glassware trains for routine organic and preparative work.

This article is part of Round-bottom flasks, in Beakers & flasks. See also Flat-bottom flasks.

Questions about Flask, round bottom with three necks (side angle), LBG 3.3, cent. 29/32, side 19

What is this article?

Flask, round bottom with three necks (side angle), LBG 3.3, cent. 29/32, side 19 is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Labbox for laboratory use. It sits in Round-bottom flasks, inside Beakers & flasks, in Labware.

A round-bottom flask is the heating flask of a distillation or a reflux. The curved wall takes the heat, and the ground neck connects to a still head or a condenser. The joint size, not only the volume, has to match the rest of the set.

A beaker is an open working vessel: easy to pour, poor as a measure. An Erlenmeyer flask has a flat base and a conical wall so a liquid can be swirled without climbing out. A round-bottom flask is for heating under a condenser, because the heat meets a curved wall and the joint at the neck connects to the rest of the glassware. Borosilicate is the glass that survives the temperature change. These forms are listed under ISO laboratory glassware.
