Floor scale KERN BID 1T-4DS is a high-resolution multi-range platform scale offering a strong price-performance ratio for industrial weighing. As the load increases, the multi-range system automatically switches to the next higher weighing range [Max] and readability [d], returning to the lower range after the platform is fully unloaded. The evaluation unit is made of plastic with dust and splash-water protection to IP65; further indicator details refer to the KERN KIB-TM. The weighing bridge is built from non-slip steel chequer plate and uses four silicone-coated alloy-steel load cells rated IP67. Levelling the bridge and accessing the junction box from above are straightforward. Weight values and piece counts can be totalled. Optional interfaces including RS-232, USB, WLAN, Bluetooth or Ethernet support easy network integration and data exchange with PCs or printers. Remote enquiry and control are enabled via the KERN Communication Protocol (KCP) from manufacturer Kern, a standardised command set largely compatible with MT-SICS for connection to computers and industrial controllers.
