Description
Housing heating mantle PILZ® -Protect-Line- LP2TC is a laboratory heating mantle for 2000 ml round-bottom flasks (Ø 166 mm) with an integrated type K temperature sensor. It operates at 230 V AC with 500 W rated power and a maximum permissible operating temperature of 450 °C. The hand-crocheted glass-silk heating element meets protection class I and is mounted in a powder-coated, chemically resistant metal housing. Construction is two-part with a liquid-tight upper section, permanent volume-marked warning labels, and safety switches that reduce the risk of accidental actuation. Fitted controls include a main on/off switch, the integrated type K sensor, a heating-zone switch with “Heating” status lamp for zone 1 or zones 1+2, a detachable 0,50 m plug connection, and a personal-protection plug with residual-current function plus Schuko type E/F cable of 1,00 m. Dual heating zones enable staged energy input for controlled flask work. Supplied as a Protect-Line model from manufacturer Winkler, the mantle supports temperature-aware heating in distillation, extraction, and general lab processes. Net weight is 3,8 kg, with overall width 280 mm and height 230 mm.

Questions about Heating mantle metal-cased PILZ® -Protect-Line- LP2TC with sensor 2.000m
What is this article?
Heating mantle metal-cased PILZ® -Protect-Line- LP2TC with sensor 2.000m is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Winkler for laboratory use. It sits in Heating mantles, inside Heating, drying & cooling, in Lab instruments.
A heating mantle cups a round-bottom flask so the heat meets the glass without a bare flame. The flask volume the mantle was knitted for is the specification. A 1 L mantle under a 250 mL flask heats the air, not the liquid.
Temperature equipment either holds a set point or drives a sample toward one. An oven dries. A furnace reaches the temperatures of ashing and melting. A bath surrounds a vessel with water or oil. A circulator moves that fluid. An incubator holds the mild warmth of a culture. An autoclave uses steam under pressure to sterilise. The number that matters is the temperature the article actually reaches, not the number painted on the dial. Temperature is part of the international system kept by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET.
