Heating tape PILZ® WBS is a silicone-insulated flexible heater rated 130 W at approximately 50 W/m, with a maximum operating temperature of 200 °C and a length of 2,7 m. It runs on 230 VAC and is supplied ready-connected with a 1,5 m mains lead. Construction uses four heating conductors, silicone insulation and an outer braid of tinned copper wires that also serves as protective conductor; the design is moisture-protected. Cross-section is 13,0 × 5,0 mm with a minimum bend radius greater than 9 mm, allowing tight routing around pipes, vessels or apparatus. High specific power supports rapid heat-up in laboratory, pilot-plant and industrial settings when good thermal contact is maintained and the tape is not overlapped. Operation together with a temperature controller is always recommended. This flexible Winkler heating tape offers constant power per metre, straightforward mounting and economical high-temperature surface heating for controlled process work.
