Description
Incubator IF160mplus is a medical-device forced-air incubator with a nominal volume of 161 l and a setting temperature range from +20 °C to +80 °C. Working temperature starts at least 10 °C above ambient and reaches +80 °C. TwinDISPLAY with ControlCOCKPIT provides electronically adjustable exhaust flap and fan speed, each from 0 % to 100 % in 10 % steps. The unit is supplied with two grid shelves, an outer stainless steel door and an inner glass door. An Ethernet interface supports protocol data readout, programme transfer and online logging; a USB port on the ControlCOCKPIT accepts a USB stick. Multiple overtemperature protection, an integrated data logger with at least ten years of storage capacity and three adjustable calibration values at the ControlCOCKPIT strengthen process reliability. A factory calibration certificate for +37 °C is included. Structured stainless steel housing measures 745 × 1104 × 584 mm; the stainless steel interior is 560 × 720 × 400 mm. Rated 230 V, 50/60 Hz with maximum power consumption of approximately 1600 W, this incubator from manufacturer Memmert is suited to controlled incubation in medical and laboratory settings.

Questions about Incubator IF160mplus, 161l, 20-80°C
What is this article?
Incubator IF160mplus, 161l, 20-80°C is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Memmert for laboratory use. It sits in Incubators, inside Heating, drying & cooling, in Lab instruments.
An incubator holds the mild, even temperature a culture needs, often 25 °C or 37 °C, sometimes with carbon dioxide. It is not a drying oven. Uniformity and, for cells, the gas control are the specification. A flask of cells in a drying oven is a dead flask.
Temperature equipment either holds a set point or drives a sample toward one. An oven dries. A furnace reaches the temperatures of ashing and melting. A bath surrounds a vessel with water or oil. A circulator moves that fluid. An incubator holds the mild warmth of a culture. An autoclave uses steam under pressure to sterilise. The number that matters is the temperature the article actually reaches, not the number painted on the dial. Temperature is part of the international system kept by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET.
