Description
Incubator IF450plus is a forced-air laboratory incubator with 449 l nominal volume and a temperature setting range of +20 °C to +80 °C. Working temperature extends from at least 10 °C above ambient up to +80 °C. TwinDISPLAY with ControlCOCKPIT permits electronic adjustment of the exhaust air flap and fan speed from 0 % to 100 % in 10 % steps. Two grid shelves, an outer stainless-steel door and an inner glass door are included. An Ethernet interface supports protocol data readout, programme transfer and online logging, complemented by a USB port on the ControlCOCKPIT. Multiple overtemperature protection, an integrated data logger with minimum ten-year storage and three adjustable calibration values aid process reliability. A factory calibration certificate for +37 °C is supplied. Structured stainless-steel housing measures 1224 x 1247 x 784 mm and the stainless-steel interior 1040 x 720 x 600 mm. Operating at 230 V, 50/60 Hz with approximately 1800 W maximum power, this incubator from manufacturer Memmert delivers forced-air performance for routine incubation tasks.

Questions about Incubator IF450plus, 449l, 20-80°C
What is this article?
Incubator IF450plus, 449l, 20-80°C is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Memmert for laboratory use. It sits in Incubators, inside Heating, drying & cooling, in Lab instruments.
An incubator holds the mild, even temperature a culture needs, often 25 °C or 37 °C, sometimes with carbon dioxide. It is not a drying oven. Uniformity and, for cells, the gas control are the specification. A flask of cells in a drying oven is a dead flask.
Temperature equipment either holds a set point or drives a sample toward one. An oven dries. A furnace reaches the temperatures of ashing and melting. A bath surrounds a vessel with water or oil. A circulator moves that fluid. An incubator holds the mild warmth of a culture. An autoclave uses steam under pressure to sterilise. The number that matters is the temperature the article actually reaches, not the number painted on the dial. Temperature is part of the international system kept by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET.
