Description

Insulation lid 120 L is a thermal cover for 120 L drums that prevents heat from escaping and thereby shortens the heating process. The maximum permissible operating temperature is 90 °C. The outer material is water-repellent polyester fabric suited to typical laboratory and production surroundings. Two openings with hook-and-loop closures allow the vessel to be filled without removing the lid, so dosing or top-up can continue while the cover stays in place. The lid is intended for use with drum heater WODPX122 and acts as a practical accessory in container heating setups. Protection rating IP54 is stated in the technical data. Supplied as one piece, this insulation lid from manufacturer Winkler helps retain thermal energy at the drum head space when paired with a matching flexible heater. It is sized for the 120 L volume class (120000 ml) commonly used for liquids and process media that require controlled warming and stable hold temperatures during laboratory, pilot-plant, or production work.

This article is part of Muffle & tube furnaces, in Heating, drying & cooling.

Questions about Insulating Lid 120L Tmax. 90°C

What is this article?

Insulating Lid 120L Tmax. 90°C is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Winkler for laboratory use. It sits in Muffle & tube furnaces, inside Heating, drying & cooling, in Lab instruments.

A muffle furnace surrounds a sample with heat for ashing or ignition, often to 1100 °C. A tube furnace heats a sample in a controlled atmosphere inside a tube. The maximum temperature and the chamber size are the specification. A drying oven is not a furnace.

Temperature equipment either holds a set point or drives a sample toward one. An oven dries. A furnace reaches the temperatures of ashing and melting. A bath surrounds a vessel with water or oil. A circulator moves that fluid. An incubator holds the mild warmth of a culture. An autoclave uses steam under pressure to sterilise. The number that matters is the temperature the article actually reaches, not the number painted on the dial. Temperature is part of the international system kept by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET.
