Description
IoT-Line bench scale KERN FKB 65K1 is a high-resolution bench scale with a large weighing range and a robust stainless steel weighing plate. Resolution of up to 65.000 division points supports precise industrial weighing tasks. Its plastic die-cast housing provides a stable stance, protects the internal weighing technology and is resistant to everyday handling. Compact overall dimensions combined with the generous capacity make it practical for accurate weighing of heavy loads even in tight workspaces, including applications that require detection of small mass differences such as consumed gas, abrasion on mechanical parts, rock samples, minerals, geodes or silver. For connected Industry 4.0 workflows the integrated KERN Universal Port (KUP) from manufacturer Kern accepts plug-on interface adapters—RS-232, USB, Bluetooth, WLAN or Ethernet—without opening the scale housing; with extension box KUP-13 up to three adapters can run simultaneously. The KERN Communication Protocol (KCP) allows interrogation and remote control from external devices or computers. PRE-TARE enables manual subtraction of a known container weight for fill checks, weighing units are freely programmable, and a spirit level with adjustable feet plus a protective working cover are included as standard.

Questions about IoT-Line Bench Scale KERN FKB 65K1
What is this article?
IoT-Line Bench Scale KERN FKB 65K1 is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes KERN for laboratory use. It sits in Bench, platform & industrial scales, inside Balances & scales, in Lab instruments.
A bench, platform or industrial scale takes kilograms to tonnes, with a platform instead of a small pan. Resolution is coarser. The load cell and the platform size are the specification. It is the scale for a drum or a packed goods check, not for a milligram of standard.
A balance compares a mass with a standard. An analytical balance reads to 0.1 mg or finer and needs a draft shield and a stable bench. A precision balance is coarser and faster. A platform scale takes a heavier load. The reading is only as good as the calibration chain back to the kilogram, which is why test weights and a certificate exist. A moisture analyser is a balance with a heater: it records the loss of mass as water leaves. The unit of mass is kept by the BIPM, compared across Europe by EURAMET, and accredited by BELAC. NIST publishes the same measurement foundations.
Which category should I open next?
The category is Balances & scales. The sub-category is Bench, platform & industrial scales. The catalogue is Lab instruments.
Shelves beside this one are Calibration & test weights, Precision balances, Balance accessories, calibration & certificates, Analytical balances and Moisture analysers.
What should I check before I order?
When this page shows a safety data sheet, use that manufacturer file. Hazard text does not belong in the sales description. For a pack size, a grade or a certificate that is not on the page, send a quote request or contact the team.
How does ordering and shipping work?
Luminix Health distributes this article from the heart of Europe. Articles in stock ship within 2–5 business days. Standard delivery is free from €250 excl. VAT. Cold-chain goods and dangerous goods under ADR are never included in that free delivery. The terms are in the Shipping Policy. The full brand index is on shop by brand. Who we are is on about us.
