Description
IoT-Line compact laboratory balance KERN PCB 6000-1 is a versatile laboratory standard instrument for diverse Industry 4.0 applications. It offers a maximum load of 6 kg with a readability of 0,0001 kg in a full-resolution single-range design, using a weighing pan of 150 mm width by 170 mm depth. Adjustment is external; the balance is not legal-for-trade. An anti-shock system between pan and load cell reduces vibration for faster, more reliable results. The integrated KERN Universal Port (KUP) accepts plug-on interface adapters such as RS-232, USB, Bluetooth, WLAN or Ethernet without opening the housing, so weighing data can be sent to networks, PCs, smartphones, tablets, laptops or printers, and control commands can be received. KERN Communication Protocol (KCP) supports query and remote control. PRE-TARE, recipe weighing, checkweighing with optical signal and freely programmable units (for example g/m or g/m²) simplify routine work. USB data transfer supports school software such as Vernier® or LabQuest® via the KERN School Protocol. Battery operation is possible, and a protective working cover is included. This model from manufacturer Kern is supplied as 1 pc.

Questions about IoT-Line Compact Laboratory Balance KERN, PCB 6000-1
What is this article?
IoT-Line Compact Laboratory Balance KERN, PCB 6000-1 is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Kern for laboratory use. It sits in Precision balances, inside Balances & scales, in Lab instruments.
A precision balance reads more coarsely than an analytical balance, often 1 mg or 10 mg, and it takes a heavier pan load. It is the balance for preparing bulk reagents. Draft, level and a warm-up still move the last digit.
A balance compares a mass with a standard. An analytical balance reads to 0.1 mg or finer and needs a draft shield and a stable bench. A precision balance is coarser and faster. A platform scale takes a heavier load. The reading is only as good as the calibration chain back to the kilogram, which is why test weights and a certificate exist. A moisture analyser is a balance with a heater: it records the loss of mass as water leaves. The unit of mass is kept by the BIPM, compared across Europe by EURAMET, and accredited by BELAC. NIST publishes the same measurement foundations.
Which category should I open next?
